I know we’re pretty transparent when it comes to our weekly 3DMJ podcast where as a group we discuss many bodybuilding topics. With that said, I thought it might be cool and interesting for you to be a “fly on the wall” while I give coaching feedback to my weekly rostered athletes. I’m not 100% sure if I’ll turn this idea into a blog series per se, but we’ll see how you enjoy this first installment.
In the video below, I touch on the importance of deloads with a bodybuilder who is in contest prep that decided to deviate from a scheduled deload. In the second segment, I instruct another contest prep athlete to keep me well informed of a calorie cut (carb reduction) that I administered to ensure I continue making the right calls for him, so in a sense stressing the importance of a feedback loop between coach and client. And lastly, I stress the importance of PSE (AKA practicality, sustainability and enjoyment) with a general population client whose goal is to recomp (lose fat/gain lean muscle). Hope you find this interesting and enlightening!
