The last couple of blogs, I’ve touched a lot on the importance of context, not looking at the sport as a black and white endeavor, and ensuring you utilize an arsenal of tools to continually progress along your journey. I truly believe this is the reason I’ve been a far superior bodybuilder in my 40’s than at any other time in my 30+ year career. Much of this has to do with understanding the concept of context, amassing a weaponry of tools and having the experience to use them effectively in a given situation. Of course I’m talking big picture her and I’m sure it’s hard for you guys to see how I apply this in my own protocols, so I wanted to share with you a small snippet into my personal journey, but I give you plenty of context, my tools of choice, and the reasoning behind it all. Actually I take that back, it wasn’t an individual effort that made it happen, it was actually a team effort as each 3DMJ coach since 2009 has added a wrench or two to my toolbox. When watching the video below I want you to keep in mind this is all about my journey and not about yours, so remember you have your own context and tools to work with. But, I do feel if I can allow you to get inside my brain, it may help with your own critical thinking and decision-making skills.
