What problems can occur when trying to be optimal? What can it cost you? How can the fear of missing out affect our decision-making? What strategies can someone use to help them decrease anxiety they are feeling? What are positive sources of “fuel” someone can use to push themself forward?

Hey 3DMJ-Team! Thanks for your great work that you offer! I love the M&S pyramids. They helped me so much already!
I have one question: if you would give a safety caloric limit for a non competitive diet, where would this be? I’m aware of the fact that it will always be individual and symptoms dependent (energy availability) but I wonder if there is a practical advice / roughly calculation where everybody would be save with (for a lifestyle diet)?
I would be super happy about your feedback!🙏🏼

hi! thank you so much for the kind words about the pyramids!!
In regards to your question, I don’t think we have the coaches on record giving answers for NON competitors, unfortunately.
If you’re curious to hear what they say about stage athletes, you can check out this podcast here – https://youtu.be/POmhlyXtJBk?t=4544
But as a general rule for lifestyle diets, they should always be more conservative than what the coaches discuss in that ^ video.
And you’re right, individual preferences, experience level, and mentality will definitely come into play. It will also depend on the duration of the diet (long and steady vs a quick “minicut” situation). And even the quickest of cuts should stay above what is mentioned in the contest prepper’s ranges.
I hope that helps! And we’ll keep that question about gen pop dietary low end cals in mind for future pods. Thanks for asking!
